"Naked" Writing

Hi guys! Like I said, I love writing. So, lately I've been checking out books on how to write better from the library. And I think I've found a large chunk of the advice that I needed to hear, just from ONE book. Sure you can find books with lots of prompts in them. And those books are GREAT. But I needed something different. I don't need to know what to write. I want to know how to put my ideas down on the page so that each word is alive. Because our thoughts are alive. So the stories and characters that we develop in our brains should still have that liveliness when they transfer to paper. Right? Well, I'm very close to learning how to do just that.
Ahem. Enough with my rambling; I might as well just tell you the title of the book before I go any further. It's called Write From Life: Turning your personal experiences into compelling stories by Meg Files. She talks about writing with raw emotion... That's what I've dubbed as "naked writing". We can't totally expose ourselves to the public. But what if we can use our raw, naked emotion to expose our characters, based on us or not? What if we go down deep into the core of their heart? Well, as she states, we can only do that if we learn how to reach into our own hearts first. This book was kind of made for adult writers. I'm sure most YOUNG children might not understand, but I do recommend it for even teenagers that may want some early writing advice for pursuing their dream as becoming an author someday. It's a great book.
We all have the ability to be naked writers, because we're all human. And humans are all imperfect; they all have their problems. But then again, why would you want to write about a perfect world? These imperfections that our society has, our SPECIES has, these things have made great stories. You've probably read it for yourself without recognizing it. So if you DO want to write, and you'd like some advice, there it is: write naked. I'm only 14. I still have a lot to learn as far as... Life. Everything. But I think that the text in that book will enlighten a lot of writers. Some of the exercises are almost like therapy. You get to write down all of your deepest, darkest secrets, then shred them up... It's beautiful.

Maybe you don't see yourself reading it, and that's fine. I just wanted to let you guys ponder this idea for awhile. The idea of bare, messy beauty.

Eh? Ah, Sou. (My original English version)

All right, I've finally come up with my own English version of Eh Ah Sou... Here it is!!! :3

Eh? Ah, Sou

*originally sung by Hatsune Miku*

Only using sentimental reasons
To explain superficial feelings
A bad shot, I thought, but I bit my tongue
My God, just stop, don't make me laugh

But can't we have fun once in awhile?
Think so, Don't know, Just need to be happy
Something interesting-- Just please me
Won't let you leave 'til I'm satisfied

All of it is a lie-- Stabbed into my heart
Fading away from sight-- Just disappearing
Spinning me round and round-- Can't get enough of
That feeling I get when I'm mixed around

I'm serious now, not playing around
You belong to me; that's how I think it should be
There's no escape, no running away
And the best part is you never saw it coming

It's sweet, It's soft, It's good, I like it
But does wanting some bitter make me selfish?
Just because of the fact that you don't like that
I'm not biased towards either one

I know what you're thinking, so just spit it out
I'm a stupid, useless, worthless, fool now
You ask me about other's opinions
And I'll tell you that I don't really care

The petals held in my palm-- Fall onto the ground
Looking like purple rain as they cascade down
Falling and turning-- I'm getting dizzy
Twisting and twirling-- It's like a dance

Reason or instinct? Which do you prefer?
Show me how, tell me now, which one is winning?
Go tell yourself that I "fell for your charm"
But you know that I'm what you've wanted all along

A pleasure I can't hide
Just feels so good inside
Self-satisfaction creating amazing bliss
Yet I know that each day
You throw it all away
But I guess that's okay
I like it that way

You know that you want no strings attached
So can you tell me why you're not satisfied yet?
Now baby I don't miss when it comes to this
Are you scared? You prepared for what I have planned?
I promise you it's gonna be good
Now baby look me in the eye so that I know I'm understood
It'll go all night, you won't wanna stop
Almost done? Ready to come? Because I'm at my limit

At my limit..
Ahhhhhhh! <3

 * I know that the English version that Ashe and Miku-tan have sung is different. I wrote this based on MY interpretation of the various translations that I looked at. Feel free to disagree with what I've come up with.*

Hello!! ^-^

Hi! I've seen a lot of blogs on here, and I finally decided to make my own. Especially when I saw that there are some otakus that blog here. :3 You're probably thinking that my blog has a dumb name. Well, it comes from my favorite song. If any of you like Vocaloid music, then you've probably heard it. It's called "Eh? Ah, Sou." I just decided to use the English version of the title. .-.
It's kind of awkward for me to have a blog, since I don't do good with having people read my stuff, and I'm usually reluctant to share my opinions with other people. But I guess that this could be fun. I'm working on my own English version of Eh Ah Sou right now, since I don't like the lyrics to the English version that I've already heard. I should be able to post my lyrics soon!
Now if only I could sing... T-T
